How we are regulated
ELCAP is registered with the Care Inspectorate as an organisation that provides housing support and personal care to people in their own homes.
This means ELCAP meets the basic requirements set out in the national standards for housing support and personal care, and for respite care. It also means ELCAP will be monitored and inspected, to make sure we are working to those standards. If we do not meet those standards we will be given a set time to get up to standard. If we fail to do so our registration will be withdrawn. If a service loses its registration it will be in breach of contract with the local authority that funds that service.
